Your health data lives on your phone, not ours. We don't run a backend. We don't have an account for you. We don't sell anything to anyone.
What we read
With your permission, the app reads from your phone's health hub (Health Connect on Android, paired with Samsung Health, Galaxy Watch, Galaxy Ring, or any other supported source):
- Steps, distance, active and total calories, exercise sessions
- Heart rate, resting heart rate, heart-rate variability
- Blood oxygen (SpO2)
- Sleep — sessions, deep sleep, REM sleep
- Body temperature
The app only reads — nothing is written back. You can revoke any single permission anytime in your phone's settings, and the app keeps working with whatever's left.
Newer signals turn on as features that need them ship — you'll see a clear in-app prompt the first time we'd like to use one. Until then, the matching permission stays unrequested.
What we save
A small summary stays on your device — your spirit's name and stage, a daily glow score, the quests you've completed, the memories you've earned. That's it. Uninstall the app and it's all gone.
What we send over the network
Two things, both small.
- Once a day, the app fetches a tiny file with that day's events. It's a public read — nothing about you goes with the request.
- Anonymous usage signals — which screens were opened, which features were tapped — so we can tell what's working. Off with one tap from the privacy card on first launch, or anytime in the You tab.
Health numbers, your spirit's name, your journal, your quests — none of those ever leave your device.
What we never do
- No accounts, no email, no password.
- No ads, no tracking pixels, no advertising IDs.
- No friends list, no leaderboards, no sharing.
- No selling, renting, or licensing your data. Ever.
The permissions we ask for
- Health data — read-only, with your permission.
- Notifications — opt-in, off by default.
- Internet — for the daily content fetch above.
We will never ask for your camera, microphone, location, contacts, calendar, or photos. If that ever changes, the policy here will change first.
Children
Fitling is not built for or marketed to children under 13.
When this changes
If we ever change what's on this page, you'll see a note in the app on the next launch and the new version will be posted here before it ships.
